SIGNAL HILL, CA - April 25th, 2015 - For its second annual fundraiser, Greenly Art Space will host the opening reception of BLUE. The contemplative art event will explore the magnificence of our oceans and the inspiration it creates. It will raise awareness and encourage a shift in consciousness in understanding the impact we've had on our oceans.

The gallery is partnering with local non-profits and Algalita Marine Research and Education for the cause. Circle Pet will be displaying a live fish tank reef.

Over 70 artists will be showing at BLUE, including Slater Barron, Michiel Daniel, Nate Jones, Carol Roemer, Caryn Baumgartner, Gail Werner, Karena Massengill, and Cynthia Evans. Their works will explore issues such as oil pollution, overfishing and global warming's effect on the health of our oceans. Emily Brozyna, Artist and Co-Curator emphasizes, "BLUE is set to debut the week of Earth Day. We hope this art exhibit helps to raise awareness of the connection between the death of our oceans and its impact on our future."

Greenly Art Space has been providing a place for local artists and causes since 2010. This year the gallery is expecting over 300 attendees. Kimberly Hocking, Art Director, Curator, and the founder of Greenly Art Space, is excited by the support. "It's wonderful to our see our hard work making a difference. Finally, we're finding a place in the community. We must preserve it," Hocking reminds us. "We love art. We all want to enjoy it. But you can't have the Van Gogh without the Theo."

BLUE will include the art show, live music, appetizers, and beer/wine. Greenly Art Space is located at 2698 Junipero Ave. #113, Signal Hill, CA 90755. The opening is from 6-10pm. The $10 admission raises funds to support the non-profit gallery.

Greenly art space is dedicated to enriching lives and cultivating community through art. This is done though creating contemplative art shows, bringing art to community schools, and providing mentoring, art therapy, and a space for creating art.
